OFFICERS from Durham Constabulary have accepted the Running Man challenge - with hilarious results.
Police forces around the world have joined in the viral running man challenge, showing off their best dance moves.
The video by Durham officers is filmed outside Durham Cathedral.
Officers respond to reports of a bear in the city.
They arrive in a police van to find the force’s mascot, the City Safety Bear, on the loose.
They encircle the bear - and then break into dance.
The force said in a message on social media: "Here at Durham Constabulary we have accepted the#runningmanchallenge
"We nominate our neighbours Cleveland Police, Northumbria Police andNorth Yorkshire Police."
The public is waiting with bated breath for their responses.
The running man challenge has swept across the globe after a New Zealand police force danced to Ghost Town DJ’s 1996 hit My Boo in a bid to attract new recruits to its ranks.
