HORROR franchise Scream could be winging its way to the North-East thanks to a triple award-winning film producer.
Durham PR Guru and producer Dean Maynard is looking to bring the franchise to the area and has already sparked the interest of two of the film's biggest stars.
He said: "The fans are starting to get excited about my push to get Scream 5 made. I know if we got everyone on board, the fans would donate the money to make this film happen."
Mr Maynard tweeted about making Scream 5 with actor David Arquette immediately retweeting him.
Just a few days later, Roger L Jackson, the man behind Ghostface's sinister voice, emailed the northern producer.
He wrote: "Please keep me informed as to your progress in production for Scream 5. It would be a pleasure to participate."
Mr Maynard wants to set the whole film in the North-East which would mark the first time the Scream franchise would have made out of America - giving it a fresh new twist.
In 2014 he co-produced and acted in Legend Of The Chained which has since gone on to win three awards at Stoke Your Fires, The Bram Stoker International Festival and Portobello Film Festival.
