PLANS have been submitted to turn a former Methodist chapel and village hall into a seven bedroom home.
Willington Methodist Church, in Lydia Street, closed at the end of last year when a new chapel was built next door in Wesley Street.
New plans have now been submitted to turn the old building and village hall into a residential property.
The plans say the outside of the building would stay the same while the interior would be transformed into a seven bedroom house.
The ground floor would have a lounge, kitchen and sitting room as well as a gym, entrance hall, two bedrooms and bathroom.
The first floor would have another four bedrooms, library, study and master bedroom with en suite and walk-in wardrobe.
According to the planning application, which has been submitted by Sandie Hall, stained glass windows would be replaced with clear glass but otherwise the outside would stay the same.
