A MUSICIAN travelling on board an East Coast Main Line train has managed to order - and receive - a pizza, much to the delight of social media.

DJ Artwork, a member of London-based electronic music project Magnetic Man, was travelling from Glasgow to Sheffield when he ordered the pizza from Domino's in Darlington.

He received his ham, mushroom, beef and pineapple Domino's Pizza Legend when the train pulled onto the platform.

In a video clip prior to the delivery, he tells followers: "Let me tell you I'm quite excited.

"We've just left Newcastle and Darlington is next."

A countdown then follows ahead of the CrossCountry Voyager train's arrival in Darlington, with his followers joining in on the excitement.

One tweeted: "This is too tense. I'm rooting for ya, buddy."

Another added: "Social Media hasn't been this exciting since the London riots."

Although one suggested he should perhaps delete his debit card details which he had included on one tweet.

After the train pulls up, two smiling Domino's staff then bring him his pizza.

The video of his delivery has had more than 1,000 likes and retweets on Facebook and Twitter, and has been viewed nearly 20,000 times on Facebook alone.

The DJ tweeted after eating the pizza that he was planning to order Champagne for delivery to the train to be shared by everyone in the carriage.

It is not known if he was successful.
