ARRIVA is altering most of its bus services in Darlington and some in the surrounding area next month.
The revisions come following analysis of Arriva’s current punctuality data and passenger usage, and the alterations in Darlington are also being led by developments in the town centre such as the new Feethams Leisure complex.
Most routes are affected by the changes, with significant revisions being made to timetables on Service 3, Service 12 and Service X26/X27.
This includes the introduction of a new hourly evening and service between Mowden and Darlington and the scrapping of the 12A Darlington to Trees Park Village service.
Trees Park will still be served at peak times, however Sunday and Bank Holiday services between Darlington and Morton Park are also being axed.
Minor revisions are being made to the majority of other timetables, including most journeys on services operating between Darlington and Newton Aycliffe revised to operate around five minutes later.
The changes come into effect on May 15 and bus passengers should visit Arriva’s website before they travel for up-to-date information about the revisions.
