POLICE cadets benefitted from training from their county’s Commissioner.
Durham Police and Crime Commissioner Ron Hogg, formerly a senior police officer, led a training session at police headquarters on Thursday night (March 3).
Mr Hogg said: “This has been a unique opportunity to hear first-hand why these young people chose to be involved in the police service, what interests them and what they would like to achieve by the end of their cadet training.
“The cadet scheme is run by Durham Agency Against Crime and has come a long way since its launch in January 2014.
“I look forward to seeing how these latest trainees develop their knowledge and skills over the coming months.”
