A POLICE helicopter was launched in the hunt for two men.
TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of stealing a car after a search in Darlington which involved the police helicopter.
The Northern Echo understands four police cars arrived on Barmpton Lane, in Darlington, on Thursday (February 18) evening supported by unmarked vehicles.
Officers were searching for the two men in farmland and fields near to Great Burdon after the car was sighted in Whinfield Road.
It is understood the car was abandoned and two men, aged 20 and 22, were detained nearby.
The incident began at 4.40pm and was resolved by 5.50pm.
Both men were being questioned on Thursday night.
