SEDGEFIELD Racecourse is to host its annual Fish Fryers Raceday next month.
The event on Mother's Day will see a traditional British treat of fish and chips dished up to guests alongside a serving of seven live races.
Jill Williamson, executive director of Sedgefield Racecourse, said: “We are gearing up for what we expect to be a very busy day. Last year’s Fish Fryers Raceday was exceptionally popular, and we’re sure this meeting will be no different
"Fish and chips are a British institution, and teamed with a great day at the races, it is a real treat for Mother’s Day.”
The event is on March 6 and will start at 12.20pm.
It is the first of three March meetings at Sedgefield, with the next one being the Chelt Fest Raceday on March 15 - when racegoers to enjoy seven live races and live racing from Cheltenham via the big screen.
And the third is the Easter Eggztravaganza featuring the Class 2 Betfred Hurdle Series Final offering a total prize fund of £25,000 for the lucky winner.
