CHRISTIAN students will stage their biggest mission week in recent years later this month (February 15-19).
Durham Christian Union hopes to have contact with 4,000 students across their five-day Story initiative, from February 15 to 19.
There will be lunchtime and evening talks in a large marquee in a field off Quarryheads Lane.
Each weekday there will be lunchtime talks at 1.05pm, focusing on key objections to the Christian faith including the Bible, tolerance, suffering, free will and the Resurrection.
Weekday evening talks, at 7.30pm, will feature speakers including Hindu priest-turned-Christian Rahil Patel, former Ulster Volunteer Force member Billy McCurrie, Professor David Wilkinson and retired Major-General Tim Cross.
Story Café will run in the marquee each weekday from 12.30pm to 3.30pm.
Finally, there will be Global Story, events aimed at international students, in Kingsgate Bar, Durham Students’ Union, on February 13 and 20, both at 7pm.
