BUTTERWICK Hospice, at Bishop Auckland, are inviting ladies to attend their Afternoon Tea event entitled ‘Chocolate Temptation’ at Rockliffe Hall Hotel on Wednesday, March 2.
This five star 18th century redbrick country mansion is set in over 375 acres of rolling countryside and golf greens.
Doors will open at 1.30pm and guests are invited to browse the retail stalls that will include classic and modern handmade handbags, hats, scarves, jewellery, confectionary and much more.
Rockliffe’s chef, Aaron Craig will then demonstrate how to prepare and bake chocolate brownies in the Rockliffe Suite at the hotel near Hurworth, Darlington.
A representative from ‘Thornton’s’ will also allow guests to purchase autographed Easter eggs.
As part of the afternoon tea, a selection of sandwiches and sweet treats and pastries along with fruit scones and fresh preserves and clotted cream will be served.
Specially selected ‘Jing’ teas or a choice of roasted coffee will also be offered.
Tickets, costing £22 per person, must be booked in advance.
