FIVE men have been arrested following an armed robbery in Trimdon Grange, County Durham.
The robbery occurred at a shop on Northside Terrace, at 6.50pm yesterday (Thursday, October 8).
Police believe an imitation firearm was used during the incident.
The men, all from the local area, remain in police custody.
On Sedgefield Police’s Facebook page, officers posted: “We would like to thank local residents for their patience whilst the incident was dealt with as quickly as possible and brought to a satisfactory conclusion.”
