21st Allstars

ALLSTARS Under-14s, sponsored by Saddingtons Builders, were at home to Nunthorpe in a league game. As the half went on Allstars started to get more into the game and were rewarded with a fine header from Liam Cullingworth. Just before half time a lapse in concentration from Allstars let in Nunthorpe to go in at the break level.

The second half was all one way with Allstars playing some good football and they were soon rewarded with a well-taken goal from Arron Large. Soon after Large got his second and Allstars third with another great strike. With five minutes remaining a long clearance from Nunthorpe found Allstars right-back Tom Brown, who from 45 yards hit a screamer to score Allstars goal of the season and make the final score 4-1. Man of the match was Liam Cullingworth.

The Under-14s Colts, sponsored by Ultimate Windows & Conservatories, played host to Thornaby and took an early lead when Callum Woodcock's long range shot deceived the keeper. The visitors deservedly equalised before half-time.

With ten minutes to go Jordan Grieves outpaced the defence to restore the lead and a minute later he scored again to make it 3-1.

On Sunday they travelled to Northallerton and welcomed Adam Boyle back from injury. He set up the first goal for Jordan Grieves and scored the second himself. James Collins' 30-yard free-kick made it 3-0 and then Jordan Hickman scored his first goal for the club. The hosts fought back but Jordan Grieves' left foot volley made the final score 5-2.

Allstars Under-11s A, sponsored by Rowells gents hairdressers, were at home to Brotton in a league game. Brotton went one up scoring just before half-time.

The second half started with the visitors keeping the pressure on and were soon rewarded with a second goal on 35 minutes. As Allstars pressed forward to try and get back into the game Brotton hit them on the break and added a further three goals to make the final score 5-0. Man of the match was Zach Fluen.

The Under-13s were leading 2-1 at half-time with two goals from David Hookway. In the second half the Allstars passed the ball around and K. Hedley scored to make it 3-1. Just before David scored the goal of the game, with a great through ball from Simpson and Hookway hit a peach of a shot to complete his hat-trick, although Brinkburn scored two late goals the Allstars were comfortable winners.

The Under-15s Colts Nathan Hibbit helped his side clinch the points with two first class strikes at goal in the first half. In the second half the Allstars put pressure on New Marske's defence and were able to get three more goals to run out easy winners. Sam Hird was man of the match.
