A CHURCH will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its refurbishment with a flower festival this weekend.
The theme of the two-day event at Trinity Methodist Church, in Rosa Street, Spennymoor, is Celebrations.
The church will hold a preview event today, at 7pm.
Tickets are £5 and include a buffet supper. For details, call Christine Jones on 07989-264877.
Tomorrow, the festival will be open from 10am until 6pm.
On Sunday, the festival opening times are 12.30pm to 4pm. Admission is £2 and morning coffee, lunches and afternoon tea will be available.
The weekend of celebration will be concluded with a service on Sunday led by the Reverend Chris Sharp, who was minister in 1982 when the building was redesigned.
The church has recently undergone further refurbishment, to make the two-storey building more accessible for the disabled.
