A SHOP that sells equipment for the disabled and elderly has re-opened after being closed for several weeks.
Home Independence Service was out of action because Stanley Day Centre, in Wear Road, was being refurbished.
The shop, which is funded by Durham County Council and is non-profit-making, is now in a new room and has a large range of household, mobility, toileting/bathing and personal care items.
It is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, from 10am to 12.30pm and between 1pm and 3.30pm.
