ACCIDENT: The A688 between Tursdale and Bowburn has been closed due to an accident
THE busy A688 between Tursdale and Bowburn was closed while the emergency services deal with an accident.
Police, ambulances and paramedics were called at around 3pm on Thursday which involved a Citroen C4, a Citroen C2 and Peugeot Boxer van.
The road was closed and traffic in both directions between the A1M J61 at Bowburn and the A177 junction was moving very slowly because of the accident.
It is believed the people involved suffered only minor injuries.
The North East Air Ambulance landed at the site.
