FIRST 9 darter for Dave

 

                Dave Prins, who plays for Easington Colliery Club hit his first competitive nine dart finish in his illustrious career. Playing against Paddy Lenagh in the quarter final of the Durham C.I.U. Championship he hit two 180’s and followed with treble 20, treble 19 and double 12. He reached the semi finals with a three-one victory.

                On the same day Dave won a tournament at Whitley Bay – but can also boast wins in a number of European National Championships as well as regular progress through the rounds at the Lakeside in the BDO events, the World Championship and the Masters.

 

Oakleaf Colliery League

 

                The league reached its half way point with league leaders, Hesleden Club going down to their second defeat of the season away at Easington Colliery Club B. Their lead was cut to 11 points as second placed Hetton Shepherds came back from five – one down to beat the visiting Hartlepool Victoria Arms. Houghton Comrades jumped to third by losing only one leg away at bottom team Peterlee Acre Rigg.
