TRIBUTES have flooded in for a legendary North-East biker who has died at the age of 65.

Jungle was formerly the head of the Darlington Hell’s Angels chapter and one of the best known bikers in the North-East.

The proud grandfather was formerly known as George Pamler, but changed his name by deed poll in the 1970s.

In 2013, he gave his granddaughter, Sascha-Jai Preston, an unforgettable journey to her school prom by leading a convoy of lead-clad bikers who escorted her to Hardwick Hall, near Sedgefield.

“Whenever his name crops up there is always someone who has a great story to tell of him, and he will be deeply missed by us and so many other Darlington people from all walks of life.”

She added: “He was so good with children and was adored by them in return. There is so much more I could say about him but I wouldn’t know where to start.

“He once told me that in his head he would be eighteen ‘til he died, and he certainly achieved that and much more. I will never forget him.”
