FOOD lovers have been gathering in Darlington this weekend for a festival of fine fare.

The Distinctly Delicious Festival of Food has been taking place over the weekend and follows on from last year's event which attracted more than 45,000 people.

The event featured street performers, artisan food and drinks producers, street food demonstrations by some of the region's top chefs, tastings and workshops. It also saw the return of the Locomotion Cake Parade.

The event takes place on High Row, West Row and Joseph Pease Place until 5pm.
