AN EVENING of music, drama and poetry by one of Spain’s greatest writers comes to the region tomorrow (Tuesday, May 5).
Theatre Sans Frontieres presents Amor en el Jardin (Love in the Garden), an original production of Federico Garcia Lorca’s tragicomic play, at the Gala Theatre, Durham, on Tuesday.
The story is set in 1936, on the eve of the Spanish Civil War, and explores youth, politics and more.
The show starts at 7.30pm. There will be a talk by Dr Michael Thompson, a senior lecturer in Hispanic Studies at Durham University, at 6pm. He will discuss Lorca’s legacy in Spain.
