A MILK tanker has caught fire on the A66 near Barnard Castle.
A County Durham & Darlington Fire & Rescue Service spokeswoman confirmed a crew from Barnard Castle received a call at 12.29 today (March 21) and attended the incident at Bowes Cross Farm, in Boldron.
She said the fire was under control and no one had been hurt.
The police also attended for road safety but no roads were closed.
The incident lasted for about an hour with crews leaving the scene just before 1.30pm.
