A WOMAN is planning to take on the London Marathon dressed as a superhero.

Kirsty Rustman, from Langley Moor, near Durham, will be one of more than 1,400 people pounding the 26.2-mile route through the capital on Sunday, April 26, dressed as superheroes.

The 28-year-old recruitment consultant is running to raise money for Children with Cancer UK. She hopes to raise £1,600.

“I’m running the London Marathon to be part of something great,” she said.

“I look forward to running alongside like-minded people who are there to push their body in order to help others. It’s a small price to pay.”
