A MOTHER is over the moon at opening her own jewellery store.
Joanna Soulsby’s Moon Jewellery opened on Silver Street, Durham, yesterday (Sunday, March 8).
The 32-year-old Polish mother opened her first store in Shotley Bridge in 2010, before expanding into Alnwick two years later.
“I had always dreamt of running a jewellery store with lots of talented designers under one roof and the more I thought about it, I realised it could work,” she said.
“I already had some great contacts because I am a jewellery fan myself and I realised there was a niche in the market for unique jewellery so I decided to go for it.”
