STIRRING sights and sounds are promised when a stately home’s Proms Spectacular goes back to its roots.
This year’s extravaganza at Castle Howard, near Malton, on August 22, will be a 25th anniversary celebration.
Back by popular demand, the spectacular concert will feature well-known classics and film themes.
It will get underway with a Second World War Spitfire performing acrobatics as the UK Philharmonic Orchestra performs, while the finale will include Rule Britannia and Land Of Hope and Glory played alongside a specially-choreographed pyrotechnics show.
David Stubley, of Lighthouse Events, said: “Over the past 25 years, the Proms Spectacular has built a strong and loyal audience and it’s our aim, to provide the audience with a premium experience.
“For anyone who hasn’t experienced the Proms Spectacular I would urge them to join us this year as it will be a truly special night.”
