AN animal charity is looking for someone with experience of caring for large dogs to rehome a rottweiler.

Five-year-old Shandy is in the care of the National Animal Sanctuaries Support League (Nassl), which rehomes animals around the North East and North Yorkshire, because her owners have had to give her up due to work commitments.

Pauline Wilson, from Nassl, said: "She has been with the same family since she was a puppy, so Shandy is very much a family dog.

"Shandy has a very sound temperament and is used to other dogs and older children. She loves to be around people and in the right home will be a real joy.

"We are looking for someone who perhaps has had a rottweiler before or is used to big dogs and has plenty of time to exercise her on a daily basis."

Anyone who can give Shandy a home is asked to call 01325-321855 or 07748268822.
