Darlington 21st Allstars

THE Under-8s continued their winning form with a 6-2 home victory over Norton Ambers.

The Allstars rallied from 2-1 down at half time to score five second half goals. James Wilson fired a hat-trick, Ryan Wardell bagged a brace and Harry Hodgson completed the goal scoring and a man of the match performance from Hari Bondarenko.

The second game resulted in a 3-0 victory. Three outstanding saves by Reuben Scotter in the first half kept Norton at bay. Goals from Will Fenwick, Oakley Johnson, and Reuben Scotter won the game for the Allstars.

The Under-12s A, sponsored by Darlington Motor Factors, won 4-1 at home to Seaton Carew Lions. They found themselves 1-0 down at the break, but goals from Joe Lamb (pen) Ben Eales (2) and Charlie Blenkinsop secured the win. Man of the Match was Joe Lamb.

The Colts were beaten 3-1 by Acklam. The deadlock was broken with a free-kick for Acklam, but Colts pressed and equalised through Rotherforth after good work from Taylor and Besford. Acklam made it 2-1 straight from kick-off and they grabbed a third from a goal mouth scramble.

The Under-13 Colts returned to winning ways with an excellent 4-1 away win against a strong Richmond Town side.

Luca Petrides opened the scoring lashing home from 20 yards into the top corner. Man of the match Ross Howell made it 2-0 midway through the half from Jamie Catterick’s throw. Allstars made it 3-0 when a fast break from the keeper Lethbridge saw Walker slip the ball to Howell who interchanged passes with Petrides before firing a low cross into the box. Ryan Wells then set up Ryan Barnes to fire in. Jamie Catterick scooped the most improved player award for another fantastic defensive display.
