THE Stroke Association is holding a fun run for people who have resolved to be healthier and fitter this year.

Both 5km and 10km routes will be available at the charity’s Resolution Run on Sunday, March 8, at Herrington Country Park, Sunderland.

Janet Price, Community and Events Fundraising Manager for the Stroke Association, said: “Many of our New Year Resolutions focus on key personal improvements like quitting smoking, eating healthier or joining a gym.

“But too often these fail by the end of January. We’re looking for ‘resoluters’ to join us for a 5km or 10km Resolution Run in Sunderland. “It’s your chance to make a pledge which counts and helps us to conquer stroke.”

The money raised by the event, which is one of 20 across the country, will help the charity fund research, support stroke sufferers and prevent stroke.

Entry costs £12.50. For more information visit www.stroke.org.uk/resolution, e-mail resolution@stroke.org.uk or call 0191-492-6191.
