FIRE crews last night dealt with flooding in a house at The Wynd at Gayle, near Hawes.
Crews from both Hawes and Leyburn are at the scene after being alerted shortly before 8pm.
A flood alert has was issued by the Environment Agency for the area at 7pm - taking in the River Ure and its tributaries from its source downstream to Kilgram.
It was issued following heavy rainfall yesterday on the Pennines. The river level at Low Houses is 1.07 metres and 1.67 metres downstream at Bainbridge.
The Environment Agency says levels are expected to continue to rise further and further rainfall is expected tomorrow.
