COMPLAINTS that grass in a cemetery was too long to see tributes left by the families of the dead has led to a council extending its cutting season.
Chilton Town Council normal cuts the grass in the town cemetery between March and October.
This year due to the mild weather during November the grass continued to grow until it hid the tributes left near to the graves. An extra cut was carried out to address the issue.
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission is to look into repairs to the five graves of the Second World War dead buried in the cemetery too.
