A STABBING victim is recovering in hospital following an attack in Teesside at the weekend.
Cleveland Police said a man, in his mid 20s, was stabbed in the stomach in a property on Hastings Way in Billingham at about 10.20pm on Saturday night.
A 26-year-old man was arrested and has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
The victim was not seriously injured but had a one-inch stab wound on his abdomen and was still receiving treatment at Middlesbrough's James Cook University Hospital.
Neighbours described seeing police vans, cars and ambulances on Hastings Way, and said police officers were searching the area using torches.
