RESIDENTS of Weardale are invited to a forum event next week to decide what the Weardale Action Partnership's priorities should be next year.

The WAP will hold the event on Wednesday, November 19, from 5.30pm at Wolsingham School and Community College.

Stuart Timmiss, chair of the WAP, will open the forum which will feature different presentations from groups which have previously been supported by the WAP.

Market stalls will promote local groups and representatives from the fire service, Durham Community Action, Dale and Valley Homes and Age UK will also attend.

Residents who attend the forum will each have the opportunity to vote on the priorities for the partnership to work on in 2015/16 and the results will be announced at the end of the evening.

The categories are activities for children and young people, support to groups in Weardale, employment and Job Prospects and affordable decent housing.

As well as crime and community safety, care and support for older and disabled people, tourism and health and wellbeing.
