CITY centre workers can enjoy discounts and special offers thanks to a new loyalty card scheme.

Durham Business Improvement District (Bid) has introduced a free InDurham card for staff at the 70-plus levy-paying businesses in the Bid area.

Bid chairman Keith Bartlett said: “Anyone joining the scheme will gain advantages from shopping locally, generating more custom for Bid levy-paying businesses.

“All in all the scheme is a benefit for businesses and employees.”

Chris Hayes, owner of menswear store Woven, said “We’re delighted to take part in this innovative and positive new venture that will benefit both Durham city centre businesses and their staff.”
