A MAN has been airlifted to hospital after he was involved in a road traffic collision in Bishop Auckland today (Sunday, November 9).
Fire crews rescued the man who was trapped in his vehicle after the collision at Denham’s Scrapyard, at about 1pm.
He has been taken to the James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, but it is not yet known what his injuries are.
Several people were described as “walking wounded” and police and ambulance crews also attended.
