A WOODED area just outside York was cordoned off this morning, October 23, after an alleged sexual assault.
The incident was said to have take place near the bridge ion the New Earswick link road between 9.30pm and 10pm yesterday (October 22) and was reported at 4.47am today.
A spokesman said: “The investigation is in the very early stages and officers are working to establish the full circumstances of the incident. The victim is receiving support from specially trained officers while the investigation continues."
