TWO schoolchidren were hurt when a Range Rover smashed through the front of a Middlesbrough fish and chip shop yesterday afternoon.
The two youngsters were reportedly inside Acklam Fish Bar, on Acklam Road, Middlesbrough, when the front window was struck by the black 4x4 vehicle at about 4.15pm but only sustained minor injuries.
The car also struck a gas meter, causing staff in nearby shops to be evacuated as a precaution. A Cleveland Police corden was set up while the car was removed and the area made safe.
