BUILDERS have raised £5,505 for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.
Staff at Barratt and David Wilson Homes made the late Newcastle United and England manager’s cancer charity their charity of the year and staged an awards night, family fun day, sponsored cycle ride and dress down days.
Finance director Scott Martin said: “Our staff voted for the foundation to be their special charity and everyone has put in a terrific effort to raise so much for this very worthwhile cause. It’s a great result.”
Lady Elsie Robson, Sir Bobby’s widow, accepted a cheque on behalf of the charity.
She said: “We’re very grateful to everyone at Barratt and David Wilson Homes for their enthusiastic support this year.”
More than £7.3m has been raised for the charity over the last few years.
