A BISHOP’S wife is heading to Glasgow to provide first aid at the Commonwealth Games.
Rosemary Butler, wife of the Right Reverend Paul Butler, the Bishop of Durham, trained as a nurse and midwife and volunteered at the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.
In Glasgow, she will be part of the Clydesiders volunteers’ team providing first aid for spectators at Hampden Park.
She said: “I am looking forward to being able to make use of my skills.
“It’s also something to be able to say of big events like this that I was there.”
