AN ANONYMOUS white van protest against a leading veterinary practice has ended.

A large van painted on both sides with the phrase ‘Dunelm Vets caused suffering to my dogs at great expense’ appeared outside Dunelm Veterinary Practice, on Sunderland Road, Gilesgate, Durham City, on Saturday, June 21.

Practice partner Jack Creaner said he had no idea who was behind the protest.

The police and council were apparently powerless to remove the vehicle.

However, it has now disappeared from sight.

Mr Creaner could not be contacted for further comment.
