A DARLINGTON homeware store has diversified its business with the opening of a coffee shop.

The new addition to Origins, in Grange Road, has seats for 14 customers and opened on Tuesday (June 17).

Business owner Darren Syddall said: "I’m delighted to see the coffee lounge open.

"We hope it will be a welcome addition to our unusual homeware shop, offering Darlington residents and visitors a great shopping and relaxing experience.

"Our regular customers and new customers alike are welcome to take the time to take a break and enjoy a coffee, tea, locally-sourced, freshly-baked cakes, biscuits and treats or to indulge in a few of our delicious handmade chocolates.

"We strive to offer great quality homeware and hope to achieve the same with the coffee lounge.”

All drinks and bakery items are available to take away – pop into the shop for a menu.
