A TEAM of brave pizza shop managers are taking a leap of faith when they tackle ‘The Big Jump’ bungee challenge off the Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge.
Domino’s franchisee Mike Racz and his team of 15 store managers are hoping to raise £50,000 for their chosen charity, Rays of Sunshine.
And they visited to iconic bridge to see for themselves the scale of their challenge in aid of the charity, which grants wishes for children aged three to 18 with serious and life-limiting illnesses.
Mr Racz said: "Having been to the bridge today, it’s really put this into perspective. They don’t call it The Big Jump for nothing – the drop is the equivalent to 1,350 pizza boxes. Rays of Sunshine is a fantastic charity and my team and I wanted to push ourselves to do something that’s not only going to be a challenge to us but also to really make a difference to the charity.”
The Big Jump will then take place on Sunday, July 6.
