THE coffers of a charity that supports people with learning difficulties and disabilities will be boosted by almost £1,000 after a fundraising event at a supermarket.
The Learning Library, based in Spennymoor, held an Easter themed tombola at Asda, in Bishop Auckland, on Wednesday, April 16.
The event raised £483.34 which will be used to buy toys and specialist items for use by the library's members. The sum will be match funded by Barclays bank.
Manager Sheila Harris thanked volunteers who organised the stall and to those who made donations or bought tickets.
