Durham County Council are offering the training course
A COURSE to help people become volunteers at a children’s centre is being run in Willington.
The Durham County Council-run access all areas course is geared towards training people to become volunteers at the One Point Children’s Centres.
The ten week course, in conjunction with 2D, takes place on Wednesdays between 1pm and 3pm at Willington One Point Children’s Centre.
The course, for people living in the Willington area, aims to raise awareness of drug and alcohol abuse, disability, community engagement, conflict management and employment skills.
Those who want to can then put themselves forward for any opportunities within the centres.
