MACHINERY THEFTS: Thieves stole plant machinery from a building site on Sprout Lane, in Shildon, on two successive nights. A blue Bomag Steam Roller was taken between 9pm and 10pm on Wednesday, January 8. It is believed the roller was loaded onto a trailer and driven from the scene. Then a blue Bobcat tractor, with a Debmat logo, was stolen overnight between Thursday, January 9 and Saturday, January 10. Transport will have being used to move the tractor. Anyone with information should contact Shildon police on 101.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: Police are hunting vandals who damaged a glass panel in the front door of a house on Queensway, in Shildon. The incident took place between 7.40pm and 8pm on Monday, January 13. The police are keen to trace a gang of youths believed to have being in the area at the time. Anyone with information should contact Shildon police on 101.
