A CHURCH has switched the time of its weekly service so the congregation does not have to venture out on cold, dark nights.
Rosa Street Methodist Church, known as The Village’s Church, in Trimdon Grange, will move its Sunday service from 5.30pm to 2.30pm.
It will hold services at the earlier time in January, February and March to avoid members being out in the dark.
The first service at the new time will be on Sunday (January 12), when the preacher will be John Kidd, of Peterlee.
