EAST Durham Homes staff raised £510 for the fight against cancer by holding a Christmas- themed charity day. The event, in aid of Cancer Research UK, featured a festive hat-designing competition and a ‘bake off’ , with the homemade with cakes and treats being sold for the charity. Staff also took part in a tombola, a Christmas quiz, a raffle and a dress down day.
It is supporting the Newcastle Cancer Centre at the Northern Institute for Cancer Research.
East Durham Homes Chief Executive Paul Mains said: “I would like to thank staff for their generosity and teamwork to make the day a success."
