Christmas fair raises thousands for Dogs Trust Darlington

DOGS Trust Darlington raised £5,800 at its recent Christmas fair. The funds will go towards the care of the dogs at its rehoming centre in Sadberge. Officials have thanked those who took part.

CHRISTMAS SERVICE: Elm Ridge Methodist Church, in Carmel Road South, will hold a Christingle service on Christmas Eve, at 5pm. All are welcome. There will also be a late-night service, beginning at 11.30am, and a Christmas morning service at 10am.

WARD SURGERY: North Road councillors Anne Marie Curry, Fred Lawton and Alan Macnab will hold a ward surgery for residents, at St Thomas Aquinas church hall, from 1pm to 2pm, on Wednesday (December 18).
