MORE than £10,000 has been raised for the Prince’s Trust by a council competing against other organisations across the country to raise as much cash as possible for the cause.

Redcar and Cleveland Borough council’s Rising Stars team raised the money at a black tie event as part of the Million Makers Corporate Challenge last month. The entertainment evening, which took place at Gisborough Hall, Guisborough was hosted by comedian Brendan Healy. It featured music from local group, Mel and the Micro Pigs, a three course meal and the chance to bid for prizes.

The council is competing against other organisations to raise as much cash as possible before the end of the year.
