POLICE have asked the public to look out for a suspicious vehicle seen in a village.
The blue Transit van was spotted in the Melsonby area, near Richmond, on Wednesday morning and its registration is similar to F840CUE.
One of the occupants was in his early 20s, slim with short brown hair, scruffy jeans and a jacket.
Anyone who sees the vehicle is asked to contact North Yorkshire police on 0845-60-60-247.
* Officers say thefts of Ifor Williams trailers continue in areas of Richmondshire and owners are urged to take measures to protect their property.
Smartwater marking kits are available from police, call 0845-60-60-247 and ask for the local neighbourhood police officer, quoting reference number 1063460250.
