APPRENTICE FOCUS: Thirsk School will offer businesses the chance to learn about setting up apprenticeships at an event on Tuesday, November 12, from 5.30pm. SHOP OPENING: Domestic appliance sales and repairs firm Electrocare, which has been established for more than 30 years in Northallerton, will open a shop in Kirkgate, Thirsk, on Saturday (October 26). The firm has taken on two members of staff from the Thirsk area to help run the shop.
