MEMBERS of the public have the chance to get involved in Teesside’s biggest multi-cultural event.
The Middlesbrough Mela Association is looking for new committee members, including teenagers aged 16 to 18, to help out.
The association’s annual general meeting will be held from 7pm today, Monday, October 14, at Middlesbrough Town Hall and a new committee will be selected. People interested, especially those with management experience, are asked to go along. Alternatively call Leanne Littlewood on 01642 729137 by the end of Monday.
OPERA TRIO: The R3 Tenors will perform at Hartlepool’s Town Hall Theatre on Saturday, October 19. The trio was formed 14 years ago by Hartlepool-born Robert Crowe plus Bruce Davis and Declan McCusker, who all belonged to the full international company of Scottish Opera and who came together after singing in concert with Pavarotti and Carreras.The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £12.50, or £11 for concessions.
