A 24-year-old man was stabbed in the leg following an incident at an address on Forber Road, Middlesbrough, shortly after 3.30am today.
Police were called and the man was taken to James Cook University Hospital. He is currently in a stable condition and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary in connection with the incident.
Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police in Middlesbrough on the non-emergency number 101, or alternatively the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 55 111.
